The Hive: The Empire is Burning: Session #3

Co-designing people-to-people collective action for global solidarity of peace & social justice.

The collapse of traditional aid models has exposed contradictions—many have long criticized these systems, yet their abrupt removal has left frontline communities vulnerable.

The question now is: How do we create something better? In Session #3 of The Hive, we take the next step in our collaborative design journey to develop an alternative model of solidarity—one that is direct, people-centered, movement-led, and sustainable.

💡 What we’ll explore together:
🔹 What is in our hands to be in solidarity with frontline movements & peacebuilders?
🔹 How people can support movements effectively—without saviorism or gatekeeping?
🔹 What could an alternative funding & resource model look like?
🔹 How to design a scalable, grassroots-driven solidarity system?

To guide this process, we will use two key methodologies:
🌱 Peace Design Ecosystem Mapping: Understanding the relationships, power flows, and leverage points within a solidarity system.
🌸 The Petals Strategic Planning Exercise: A participatory framework to align strategies, actions, and resources for long-term impact.

Whether you've been part of past sessions or are joining for the first time, your voice is needed. Let’s build a model of solidarity that is by the people, for the people.
